As a Medical Writer, you will work collaboratively to produce clear and impactful business communications across Abbott’s global initiatives. Your responsibilities will include writing, editing, and formatting a variety of materials to support Abbott’s global citizenship, sustainability, marketing, and corporate functions. You will apply Abbott’s brand voice and meet domestic and international regulatory standards. Collaborating with various departments, you’ll ensure all content is aligned with the company’s objectives and regulatory compliance requirements.
Day in the Life:
- Write, edit, and format diverse communications in alignment with brand voice.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accuracy and strategic alignment.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, meeting strict deadlines.
- Develop publication concepts, briefs, and content outlines.
- Coordinate with creative, translation, and production teams to ensure timely project completion.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or a relevant technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business or technical writing, ideally in corporate sustainability, citizenship, or biotech.
- Proficiency in AP Writing Style and AMA references.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging all organizational levels.
