Role Overview:
As an Account Director, you will lead client relationships, ensuring seamless communication, project execution, and strategic alignment with business objectives. You will oversee budgets, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring projects meet quality standards while driving profitability and efficiency. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will collaborate with internal teams, including creative, marketing, and content specialists, to develop and execute high-impact campaigns that align with client goals.
You will play a key role in presenting, selling, and defending agency work, managing client expectations, and ensuring all deliverables align with brand strategy and messaging. Your expertise in business development will allow you to identify opportunities for growth, expand accounts, and drive incremental revenue while maintaining strong client relationships. You will also manage account strategy, ensuring that all initiatives contribute to long-term client success and satisfaction.
Additionally, you will be responsible for financial stewardship, monitoring budgets, and optimizing resources to meet financial goals. By fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment, you will ensure exceptional service delivery, positioning the agency as a key strategic partner for its clients.
Day in the Life of an Account Director:
- Lead client meetings, manage communication, and ensure strategic alignment

- Ensure high-quality content, creative execution, and flawless project management
- Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities and optimizing client relationships
Qualifications of an Account Director:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in eCommerce or related field
- Experience managing website performance, digital marketing, and analytics
- Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize diverse data sources
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
