Summary:
Manage incident recovery, system monitoring, and technology operations.
Role Overview:
As an Operations Engineer, you will assess and resolve technology issues, execute system maintenance, and monitor enterprise applications. You will engage with end-users, collaborate with technology teams, and ensure the stability of infrastructure and application technologies.
Day in the Life of an Operations Engineer:
- Assess and prioritize technology issues for resolution
- Perform knowledge-based recovery of incidents and system events
- Execute maintenance, deployments, and monitoring tasks
- Communicate with end-users through verbal and written channels
- Collaborate with technology teams on system performance and reliability
Qualifications of an Operations Engineer:
- 1-2 years of experience in a service desk or operations center
- Basic understanding of ITIL framework
- Proficiency in Java applications, Apache Kafka, and PostgreSQL (Oracle preferred alternative)
- Strong fundamentals in infrastructure and enterprise application technologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
