Summary:

Develop and refine design systems to enhance user experience.

As a Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in updating and maintaining our client’s Product Design System. You will collaborate closely with the design system and brand teams to refactor existing components, develop new UI elements, and ensure all designs align with accessibility best practices (WCAG). Your expertise in Figma and design systems will be crucial in optimizing the efficiency and functionality of our UX processes.

This role requires a keen eye for detail, a passion for solving complex design problems, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Hours per week: 40 hours
  • Location: Minneapolis, MN (Remote)

Day in the Life of a Product Designer:

  • Update and refactor Figma components to align with new branding and design standards.
  • Develop reusable UI components like buttons and forms that meet brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the design system and brand teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Review and test new components to ensure functionality and user efficiency.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve design processes and outcomes.

Qualifications of a Product Designer:

  • 3+ years of experience in product design, focusing on design systems and UX.
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Expertise in Figma, including components, auto-layout, and variables.
  • Experience applying Accessibility best practices (WCAG).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
