Summary:
Manage purchasing contracts and compliance tracking with analytical precision.
Role Overview:
As a Purchasing Associate, you will review purchasing contracts, track compliance, and collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams to resolve contract issues. You will ensure compliance with contract terms and assist with billing and pricing adjustments as needed.
Day in the Life of a Purchasing Associate:
- Review and assess purchasing contracts for compliance and potential issues
- Pull sales data and assess contract spending compliance
- Set up billing letters for non-compliance cases
- Collaborate with finance on compliance billing and revenue estimates
- Evaluate contracts and recommend pricing adjustments if necessary
Qualifications of a Purchasing Associate:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related experience
- Proficient with Excel and managing large datasets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Preferred experience in accounting, finance, or legal fields
